1 Tag Per Head Controls Horn Flies And Aids In Control Of Face Flies, Stable Flies, And House Flies. 1 Tag Per Head Controls Biting Lice And Aids In Control Of Sucking Lice. Approved For Lactating Dairy Cows. Synergized For Maximum Effectiveness Against Horn Flies And Other Pests. No Meat Or Milk Withdrawal Time Required.

Apply one (1) tag per head to the front or back of one ear on each animal to control most strains of horn flies and to aid in the control of face flies, stable flies and house flies for up to 4 months. Tags remain effective against pyrethroid-susceptible strains of horn flies for up to 5 months. Apply when flies appear in the spring. For lice protection through winter, apply one (1) tag per head in late fall or early winter. Controls biting lice and aids in the control of sucking lice for up to 3 months.

Apply with the Y-TEX UltraTagger. All mature and weaned animals in the herd should be tagged to avoid dilution of the treatment. Calves under 3 months of age should not be tagged or ear damage may result. For optimum pest control on Brahman-type cattle with large ears, apply tags to the back of the ear. To minimize development of insecticide resistance, remove used tags at end of fly or lice season, and follow the Y-TEX recommended tag rotation program involving organophosphate tags.

Step 1: Seat male button firmly on pin, press down and give a slight twist.
Step 2: Place female tag firmly under clip. Collar on tag must be pointing away from pin.
Step 3: Position applicator over ear and squeeze the handles together.

A $3.00 investment in Y-TEX insecticide ear tags can return  43.1 lbs. extra gain for calves, 47.1 lbs. extra gain for stocker steers and open heifers, and 26.1 lbs extra gain for cows.

*Based on 43 independent studies for calves, 11 studies for stocker steers and open heifers, and 28 herd studies for cows. For good long-term horn fly control, proper tag rotation must be followed.
