Sky-Lytes for Swine is a non-medicated, buffered electrolyte formula that provides essential elements needed by pigs to maintain weight gain during periods of stress caused by management procedures, disease or weather change. Easy and convenient to use through feed or water. Strawberry flavoring encourages water consumption to prevent dehydration.

SKY-LYTES can be used in feed or water from 5 to 7 days before, during and after a stress situation occurs. Used to provide fluids and electrolytes needed by pigs that are dehydrated or show weight loss during periods of stress. Fluids and electrolytes are essential to normal body functions and need to be replaced in times of stress. Sky-Lytes will maintain weight gain and prevent severe dehydration during scours by restoring body fluid balance.

Sky-Lytes replaces fluids, electrolytes and chemical elements lost during stress due to an increase in body functions. Sky-Lytes controls the pH and maintains osmotic pressure, vital for normal body functions. Body fluid levels are maintained and balanced through electrolytes and their osmotic pressure. Without proper body fluid balance, the tissues start to shrink or dehydrate. This is particularly important in young pigs, since 75% of their body weight is represented by water, and a loss of 7-15% of normal body fluid leads to death.
