BI - One dose pasteurella vaccine recommended for use in healthy cattle as an aid in the prevention of respiratory disease associated with Past-haemolytica and multicida. Inject one 2 ml dose SQ in the neck. 60 day slaughter withdrawal.

Bovine Respiratory Disease (BRD) is a major problem throughout the United States and a costly one for cattle producers.  The complexity of the disease compounds the problem.  There are multiple causes and secondary bacterial sources that increase the severity of infection and complicate diagnosis.

PULMO-GUARD PHM-1 prepares calves for Pasteurella Challenges.

PULMO-GUARD PHM-1 helps prepare calves for exposure to M. Haemolytica and P. multocida in two ways.  First, it stimulates the healthy immune system to build antibodies that attack bacterial antigens; second it stimulates production of antibodies that neutralize leukotoxins produced by M. haemolytica.

Using aseptic technique, inject 2 mL subcutaneously in front of the shoulder and midway of the neck, away from the suprascapular lymph node. Although only a single dose is necessary to confer active immunity, a booster is recommended 21 days prior to subsequent stress.

Store between 35-45°F (2-7°C). Do not freeze. Shake well before using. Use entire contents when first opened. Do not vaccinate within 60 days before slaughter. Anaphylactoid reactions can occur. Hypersensitivity reactions, including delayed hypersensitivity or death, may occur with a biological product and can cause reduced milk production in lactating dairy cattle. Persistent swelling may occur at the injection site.

Antidote: Epinephrine.
