Merck Prestige Tetanus has been shown to be
effective for the vaccination of healthy horses, cattle, swine and sheep 6
months of age or older against tetanus , For primary vaccination aseptically administer
1 mL intramuscularly, repeat with a single dose in 3-4 weeks. Historically,
annual revaccination with this product has been recommended. The need for
annual booster vaccination has not been established for this product. Store
at 2°-8°C (35°-46°F). Shake well before using. Do not mix with other products.
This product has not been tested in pregnant animals. Do not vaccinate within
21 days before slaughter. Local reaction may occur if this product is
given subcutaneously. Inject deep into the muscle only. Injury should be
followed by a booster dose of vaccine containing tetanus toxoid. Consult your
veterinarian regarding indications and precautions for the use of tetanus
antitoxin. Anaphylactic reactions may occur. If allergic reaction occurs, treat
with epinephrine. In case of human exposure, contact a physician.
